More Exhaust Problems

The story of this year with the S7 is the exhaust, first the manifold fell a part now the the joint between the manifold and silencer box has blown!!!!!!! This is probably all stems from the manifold repair at the time.



A new joint collar fitted on to the pipe going to the silencer and clamped in place using a stainless steel clamp.


All refitted to the manifold with exhaust sealing paste used to make a gas tight joint and a 57 mm standard exhaust clamp. The clamp in the middle of the collar is there to hold the cover in place.

The cover back in place and the engine run up to temp to harden the exhaust paste.

I just hope that I don't have to have this lot apart again this year or in the near future, will finger crossed anyway!!!
